THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

February 22, 2015 By Allison Ray Benavides

National GeographicOur family wants to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our children on Feb 15th at Flying Panther Tattoo. The fundraising event was a huge success – in 1 day we tattooed over 50 folks, shared our message of hope with families who drove in from all over the state and raised over 12 thousand dollars for the Realm of Caring, CA. Our new friend Lynn Johnson from National Geographic also showed up to help us spread awareness – keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming issue this spring on kids and cannabis.

We are incredibly blessed to have the support of our favorite family and friends within the international tattoo community. Sending so much love to you Micah Caudle, Fip Buchanan, Mike Martin, Susan Kidder, Aidan Monahan, Chris Smith, Lord Mykil Zep, Dominic Vasquez, Jackie Dunn Smith, Brian Lynch, Dan Pryor, Thomas Fernandez, Paul Dobleman and Austin Maples (best bartenders ever), Kiki Platas, Stan Corona, Jon Mordin, Frank Chavez, Thor, Serge, and Ben Grillo.

And extra special gratitude goes to Anahuac for always joining with us around the sacredness of this medicine.

WE LOVE YOU ALL. Especially Ray and all the Mirzabegians behind the Realm of Caring, CA. You saved our son’s life.

I’m standing still, alone on the black top of an empty street. A single lamp overhead casts a sepia tone through the dense fog settling in around me. My eyes look slowly from side to side as I try to make sense of the quiet, peaceful calm I feel despite the horrific awareness that my… read more…

How CA’s Recreational Use Impacts Medical Marijuana Patients

I tried not to take it personal when a friend in the cannabis industry chided me for not being more on top of how “The Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act” will impact my son, a pediatric patient in California. Sure I knew this was coming, but the state’s website hadn’t been updated… read more…

CBD, ADHD, Autism and Other Neurologically Atypical Symptoms

The most frequently searched terms that are finding this site are now CBD, ADHD and Autism. And I have more than a few emails I need to return asking the same (I haven’t forgotten you, mamas – I’m actually writing this just for YOU). Could CBD also help with my child’s anxiety, sleep disorder, sensory… read more…
