Pediatric Cannabis Support

Always Follow Hope

About Us

We are a group of mothers through out San Diego County using pediatric cannabis to treat our children’s medical conditions. Our children suffer from intractable epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, Rett syndrome, Tay Sachs disease, etc. and have been unable to find relief through conventional interventions. In looking for alternative treatments, we found healing through cannabis and in finding each other.

Despite being a very gentle and effective treatment alternative, cannabis is still controversial for children. When exploring this option, it can be hard to know where to start and who to trust. There is a lot to learn and understand to know how to safely treat your child with cannabis. We get that, which is why we have each other.

We are not medical professionals. We are parent/caregiver/pioneers who have created a compassionate network of support. We get together roughly once a month in a peer-led support group to share our challenges and successes as parents of children with special and unique needs. Together we have created a safe place to talk about and navigate the uncharted territory of pediatric cannabis, sharing resources and friendship. We don’t dispense medical advice or have all the answers, but someone will know someone who will be able to help. When we all get together, the wisdom is in the room. To get a feel for one of our support meetings, you can read about us here at marijuana.com.

If you have questions about high CBD, CBDA, THCA or THC concentrates and how they may be helpful in relieving your child’s condition, you are welcome to join us for educational, emotional and logistical support. We also invite you to come share your experience with cannabis and other resources. We definitely want to learn from you too. Feel free to e-mail Allison Ray Benavides, LCSW at [email protected] for more information on how to join our group.
